I have actually calculated the speed at which your passport travelled from HO to your house. It travelled at the speed of 2 feet/hour :-).

Anyways, Congrats. You must be damn delighted. 3 more years in the country. Hope this country recovers from its current turmoil and makes all our efforts to stay here worthwhile.

Going on that time frame, I should find out about mine around this coming week or the week after!

Has anyone been working via an umbrella company? Off setting their expenses on their tax?

I've noticed the latest update on the Border Agency website says:
"During the week commencing 20 April 2009, we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 24 March 2009."

Does anyone know long the 'usual' consideration takes once they get to this date? Does it generally mean it will be done within the current week?

Tier 1 general approved

Post by hsmp_922 » Tue Apr 21, 2009 11:09 pm

Hi everybody,

I got my HSMP Tier 1 General approved today :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Please find my processing time below,

Date of submission - March 13 2009
Date of receipt - March 14 2009
Date payment was deducted - March 16 2009
Passport and other documents dispatched - April 20 2009
Received all documents on April 21 2009

As part of my previous earnings, i had claimed only 25 points, but the case worker has recalculated and has granted 30 points. Hence I think the home office is very fair in assessing applications.

I don't have words to explain how great this forum is....whenever i had any doubts or any thing worrying about HSMP, this forum has helped.

I would be a frequent user in this forum, and would try to help as many ppl as possible with their queries on applications.

Thanks a lot to you guys....

It really depends mate. When i submitted the date on which they are suppose to start considering my case is my visa stamp date by which u can say that they took half a day to do it. But anyways its different in different cases and it is really advisable to make a case proper and precise.

hope this helps
