EU Directive 38/2004, Article 5 in place

Post by suparka » Sat Apr 25, 2009 10:51 pm

Hi,

I just found out that Denmark will allow entry without a visa to non-EU citizens who have Residence Card stamp in their passport.

(Article 5 from EU Directive 38/2004)

The information is listed on their website (bottom of the page):

http://www.amblondon.um.dk/en/menu/Cons ... sForAVisa/

Does anyone know if other EU countries will follow similar suit?

I think that France did.

Interestingly, they also say:
"...You do not need to be accompanied by your EU/EEA spouse or partner..."

This is a first! All other member states who have implemented A.5 require that the non-EEA Family member be traveling with or joining up with the union citizen.
I think that France did.
Yes, they have.
