PSW----->TIER 2(GENRAL) PLEASE HELP !!!

Hello
I will try to make my questions as simple i can

I am currently on PSW visa which expires on Jan 2010 . Up to my knowledge I am calculating following points to switch from PSW to Tier 2 (general)

PSW=30 POINTS
Salary 24k=20 POINTS
(which i have from my last 6 payslips and my employer is ready to give me a letter for next 6 months working assurance on 24K)
English = My previous study is from UK recognize institute
Funds = £800 minimum in my bank for more than 3 months

So I still have some questions which i am cleared like

1. My employer is not the registered sponser so is that any concern?
2. How early i can apply under this tier as my present visa till Jan 2010?
3. Do I need only my Passport (with psw stamp) , bank statement , 6 months salary slips , prospective earning letter etc as my supporting doc.?
4. Do I need to send any educational documents for Claiming English points or in any way?

Does your employer got the licence to sponsor... if yes then only it can sponsor u..... anytime after six months with the current employer... yeah passport with PSW stamp is fine cuz they already verify the documents... i am not too sure about english language points i guess its fine without it...

Anyways refer to guidelines.....thats the best possible way to apply....

No my employer is not registered but i thought you got option between PSW or Sponser Cert. to claim 30 points
please correct me if i am wrong

To apply under Tier 2, an applicant
must have a sponsor. A sponsor is an United
Kingdom based organisation that wishes to
employ the applicant in the United Kingdom.

In order to sponsor applicants, an
employer will need to have registered as a
licensed sponsor. The sponsor will need to meet
the requirements for the particular category
within Tier 2 and accept certain responsibilities
to help with immigration control.

The sponsor will need to assign a certificate of sponsorship before the applicant can apply for leave under Tier 2. The certificate

ask your company to apply for the licence first, than only they can apply to tier2 for you. HO takes 3-4 weeks to give the licence, they ll send officer for inspection at your work.

well by the virtue of points being awarded for PSW as 30 not for sponsor, then it does not make any sense to have the employer licensed as well, or if licensed then why would a person not claim points under sponsorship rather than PSW.

this is a big doubt in here

Is there 2 options:

30points for PSW

OR

30points for Sponsored employer?

Can you switch from PSW to tier 2 general without employer being sponsoring you?

Hi Friends

your advise or info on my query would be of great help for my situation. I have my current WP visa valid untill Mar2010.

But before t hat I am going for Maternity leave by Oct...for 6 months...or so. So I would like to get the extension before i go on for Maternity leave.

Will the HO accept my application 6 months prior to the Expiry of the current visa?
