HSMV renew

Post by bunytu » Tue Aug 09, 2005 1:26 am

I currently have WP which expires in Aug 2006. Thinking to apply for HSMV as it gives more flexibility.

I'm 27 now, and my points is just 65. So when I renew it after a year, I will be 28 and lose 5 points. Will this affect the renew?

My current job pays me £24,000 in UK, which is not high to be honest. Will this be enough for renew purpose if I stay with this job?

65 points are reqd for initial processing. For renewal, separate criteria is being used, u may go through the guidelines.

So even in fact i no longer have enough points,

So even in fact i no longer have enough points, it doesn't matter?

As I have current job in UK. If I just keep this job, ( the salary is too low to earn any point), I'm still counted as economically active, right?

Thanks in advance.

The renewal of HSMP visa after one year is not assessed by points system but on the basis of your "economic activity".

I guess 24k is active enough. Previously someone wrote that they had only a temp position for 3 months or so and were granted extension.
