Hi,

Have you applied for your skills assessment?
If not, you may apply for the skills assessment and meanwhile sit an IELTS exam.

Denise

Hi Denise,

I have yet not applied for skill assessment, my main intention was to save my time while preparing for ielts.

Do you know how much time it takes approximate for skill assessment, and what are the documents required for the same.

Thanks & Regards,
Aditya.

Hi All, will 2.8 years experience be okay for skil assessmen

Post by nrupaks » Tue Apr 21, 2009 4:19 pm

Hi All,

One more thing I wanted to ask is presently I have only 2.8 years of experience.

Although I clear the rules for skilled migration, I have read in PIM Guidelines on ACS website that I require 4 years of experience before going for skill assessment.

Ref: https://www.acs.org.au/assessment/docs/ ... ry2009.pdf

Request you all to provide feedback on this.

Regards,
Aditya

Hi,

What qualifications do you have?

There are 3 different groups of requirements /depends on how many years you have worked and studied/ and you have to meet one of them to assess your skills through ACS but 4 years of experience is one of the main requirements you should meet.

To apply for skilled migrant visa you will have to prove that you have worked in your nominated occupation for at least 12 months for the last 2 years.

Regards,
Denise
