Category: HSMP to Tier 1 (Extention)
Applied: 18 Feb 2009
Reached HO as Dated on Ref. letter : 19th Feb 2009
Visa Expired: 5 March 2009
Visa Status:
Before 2nd Apr(No idea abt exact date) - Recv. call from Homeoffice to my employer.
2nd Apr (6 weeks completed) - Awaiting Further Consideration
3rd April to 29th April - Under Consideration
30th April - Awaiting further consideration

Spoke to B'ham high comminsion about any enquiry from HO as my case is related to lost passport but they didn't recv. any enquiry.

Finally status is changed after alomst a month ..Don't know I should be happy about it ??? :D

Congratulations Flygirl !!

Is your application was complicated in any way ?

Even I am thinking to complain about my case as I have sent UT and requested to send all docs by 30th and also sent flight tickets dated 2nd May.

Actually forgot to specify about withdrawn point in any circumstances.

Any idea what will happen if HO will withdraw my case and send all docs by Saturday as my visa is expired long back?
Why not fax another letter tomorrow urgently. Just a repeat letter, but include that you don't want it withdrawn. Phone to be sure they have received and read it.

Don't think my application was complicated, really.

Thanks Flygirl. Really very strange that HO took for ur application almost 3.5 months without any reason. Might be they take some sample and do more checking on them. Just guess..

I'll fax another letter first thing in morning.

Does any one know the difference between what "Awaiting consideration" and "Awaiting furthur consideration" mean?

I called yesterday about my 6 weeks due application with HO and theyh said it was in status "Awaiting consideration"
When i chekced today it said it is now in "Awaiting furthur consideration"...

Dont know what it means... and they refused to tell me anything furthur......

Does any one have more insight in this

Awaiting Consideration = application in queue and yet to be assigned to case worker
Awaiting Further Consideration = Application has been considered, just a review from supervisor is needed or some verification result is pending.

VT

Hope so VT.

Today status is changed to under consideration again.

Also HO told that they never withdraw any application on the basis of Urgent treatment consideration.

If somebody asks explicitly than only they withdraw application.

So no need to specify anything while applying UT.

March 27 Application

Post by bennyhand » Sat May 02, 2009 10:06 am

Hello all,

Just thought I'd post my dates and the good news:

Application Type: WP to Tier1 (G)

TIMELINES.
Date Applied/Docs sent: 26-MAR-2009 (evening - special delivery)
Date Docs reached HO:27-Mar
Date Payment Deducted (Credit Card): 27-Mar
Acknowledgement Posted: 27-Mar
Result & VISA stamped: Approved
Date of Approval (on UKBA letter): 28-Apr
Date Passport/Docs received from HO: 01-May-09 (Had provided self-addressed Special Delivery envelope)

This came as a pleasant surprise as I wasn't expecting UKBA to start processing applications sent on 26 March until next week, so I handn't bothered to check with my employer or the status.

But I thought this would be useful for those applying around the same time (end of March during the big rush to apply before 1 Apr eligability changes).

Good luck to everyone who applied.

Hats off to UKBA!

Hurray, UKBA took time 13 weeks but granted me the visa. If you guys remember, I had submitted Salary Slips processed by ADP and Bank of America Statements, both of them were online statements and not attested and were for a US employer while I was working in US. Even last three months of the claimed earning period, I had provided HSBC UK statements as I got them from the bank and had no bank signatures.

So guys they took time to verify everything, even called my UK & US employers, probably even went to ADP & BOA & HSBC UK to verify my statements but hats off, had it been any other country, for that matter even US, my application would have been in a trash bin.

Thanks guys, this forum is great. Let me know if I can be of help.

Application received by UKBA - Jan 23, 2009
Passport received with visa - May 2, 2009

Hi VT,

Yes, I think they have sent letter back, I have provided payslips and bank statements, they might have used address on payslips, there is no email id on that. Also pay related work is outsourced, so different company handles these functions, so it might have taken some time to reach HR of the location (multiple in UK) where I work.

Congrats!!!.

Is that mandatory to provide self-addressed Special Delivery envelope.

I did not provide this. Will it take time to get the doc?

Thanks.

No need to fret really. It's not mandatory to include self-addressed Special Delivery envelope. If your application is in-country your documents will be returned by recorded delivery. Takes a few days longer than Special Delivery, of course, but faster than regular mail and you can track it.
Good things come to those who wait.................
