My inspection report was submitted to VAC after over three months it was written and didn't encounter any problem. I don't know if there are guidelines with regard to this but I believe time limits of visa application documents apply for items that may change over time. i.e. payslips, bank statement, etc...

However, I think it would be in your best interest to get the letter signed to avoid unnecessary complications.

It should be no more than 12 weeks old at the time the application for a visa is lodged

Hi batleykhan,

Where in the guidelines/rules does it say documents should not be more than 12 weeks old at the time the application?

There is no guidelines available to the general public.

It is only available to Local Authorities who carry out most of these of inspections on behalf of the customers for Immigration purposes.

Most Councils would normally recommend you get a Housing Report if and when you are ready to lodge an application and not to far in advance, otherwise Immigration Authorities may not accept it , as circumstances may change thus nullyfying the report.

It should not make any real difference. Send it with application and keep your fingers crossed that the ECO does not notice it.

I think he is the same person. I dont think he helps himself by doing this.

He should try and keep his post together, that way he will get consistent advice from people which will be to his benefit.

the inspection report i included in the file had a computerised signature on it so it also looked like a photocopy AND my husbands DOB was incorrect! i didnt notice it until i was in Pakistan and it was too late then! so i sent it with the application and it was still okay :)
