Wife granted ILR in just over 2 weeks!

Post by ZD » Thu Apr 30, 2009 12:52 pm

Hey folks, good news, my wife received her ILR this morning. I applied in the UK via post on the 15th APR and her passport [plus docs] arrived today.

From a documentation POV, my bank balance was in overdraft but I supplied 2 years worth of bank statements and pay slips. I also included Tax Credit details [Joint].

I want to thank this Forum again, couldn't have done it without you folks.

:)

You do realize its ILR that his wife got and not Entry Clearance visa ....!!!!!!.

With ILR you only need to send half a dozen differents docs whereas before it was something like 20....... its being made a lot easier to get ILR.

Hey folks.

khan85: I submitted the following documentation:

- 2 years Pay slips
- 2 years Bank statements
- Letters spanning 2 years which included, Tax Credit and Job Centre correspondence, NHS registration, Birth Certificate of child born during the 2 years, letters and statements from Bank and National Savings and Investments. [NS&I].
- Income Bond certificates [in joint name] to prove savings.

benjy: My account was £2500 in overdraft for over 2 years, however most of my salary goes towards savings via standing order through my bank account. This is why I supplied 2 years of statements to demonstrate a] regular income and savings, and b] enough saving to offset the over draft.

HTH.

Thanks. :)

Question about form set m

Post by benjy » Wed May 06, 2009 8:01 pm

Just a quick question about form set m.

Q 7.3 Are you working in the uk If yes What is your monthly pay after income tax and other deductions?

Does this mean after all your direct debits?

I am in the middle of completing the form as my wife has her appointment soon.

please get back to me.

It means what your salary is after Income Tax and National Insurance Contributions are taken out.

Thats all - They want to know what your take home pay is, D / Debits etc dont come into it.
