Does WP to HSMP visa affect ILR application?

Hello Moderators/Members,

Can you please shed some light on my case - I have been working in the UK for past 30 months. If I apply and get HSMP visa can I still use my 30 months when I apply for ILR or do I have to start all over again?

yes you can provided there is no gap between the 2 visas

Thanks, can you direct me to any links/documents from home office stating the same. I've been told by an immigration consultant that I will lose my 30 months exp and have to start afresh.

the homeoffice link on the page doesn't seem to work, but the Rule number is mentioned, so if you go through the HSMP Rules you should be able to find the relevant rule.

You can combine any Visa that leads to settlement with HSMP.
