Post by web2005 » Sun Aug 14, 2005 2:04 pm

Hi, After initial HSMP approval on 13th June, I applied for EC on 25th July in Islamabad and got my passport stamped on 30th July. Now I am in UK on HSMP.

Ok. I applied for HSMP through solicitor in UK and after approval I submitted following with EC application:

a) VAF1 form (with 2 photos)
b) Cover letter from my solicitor in UK.
c) 2 moths bank statements showing £2000 - £3000 in my account.
d) UK land registery papers showing I am UK home owner
e) 2 previous job offer letters dated back in March and April 2005 showing I have been receiving job offers in UK.

Yes, they sent all the originals back in good condition, even the original HSMP approval letter. Are you applying for EC from Islamabad??

just one more thing to add, they are not interested in your assets. They only want to see how much cash is in your bank. So, I don't think sending papers of your car or bike will help you at all.

Web2005,

Yes i am planning to apply for EC from ISB.

I just want to show that i will have such amount in form of vehicles and i ll sell them after i get EC. isnt this a good idea?

Second thing i want to ask, did you get the call for interview or direct visa stamping.

Regards
Rao

there is no gurantee that your will get the same amount as shown, for your car and bike when you sell it

it's best to include your "immobile" assets and not like car etc... what if it gets stolen etc?.. :-)

rao166,

I was expecting interview call (because of political situation these days) but I was lucky to get the passport stamped within service standard of seven working days without interview.
