TAX Code Query - Urgent Reply Required

Post by fahadz1 » Fri May 15, 2009 9:03 pm

Hello Bro/Friends,

I need some assistance. I am going to apply HSMP extension in June 2009.

MY query is i am showing 3 different jobs.

1st is from May 2008 to April 2009
2nd was from June 2008 - July 2008
3rd was from July 2008 - March 2009

My query is none of the job got BR code. All got 603L.

when sending my case to HSMP team will they take into consideration that why the guy didnt have any BR code whilst doing 2 jobs at a time. ?

Please reply with your advices cause i'm very much worried in this sence.

Waiting for replies...

Well i have sent my wage slips from two different employers and both with the same tax code, and i still got the visa and HO probably over looked it---so it depends upon case worker----But how come you got the same tax code for two different jobs???

fahadz1, when you started the 2nd and 3rd jobs, did you fill in a form P46 stating you had another employment? If you did that the employers should have operated code BR automatically, until they receive instructions from HMRC.

Anyway, you have no doubt underpaid tax in 2008-2009. Have you received a Self Assessment tax form to complete? If not you are under an obligation to tell HMRC about your situation, and they will no doubt then send you a form to complete.
