It took them about 4 weeks to ask for my passport.

It seemed like a long wait at that time as I didn't know when to expect the letter, they seem to be getting rid of the backlog now. All the best.

did you call the HO? thats the only thing I can really think to do. although I called them and they said they couldnt give me any kind of timeframe for when they would be contacting me, hence why i asked this question in the first place

Thanks in advance

they will send the call in letter to both you and your attorney, as they should have been doing throughout your appeal

Roughly it takes between 4 - 5 weeks on the average but then like others have suggested, contact your solicitor as that is where they will send the call letter. I know it's hard not to worry but you need a bit of patience at this stage since you know that your visa is not too far off.

Are you sure that they will only send the letter to my solicitor? As so far all the correspondence has been sent to my address and to my solicitor!!!!. (BOTH ADDRESSES)
Diokpa can you share your experience? did they send you the letter or to your solicitor?
I am bit worried now

Sorry I didn't use a solicitor. Maybe you could call them and find out.

My appeal decision was 12 March and I'm still waiting for HO to ask me for my passport. I had called them earlier and was told it would be end of April but it's almost end May now. So i guess it varies from case to case.

Yes it does vary cos I know a member on this forum who had his appeal allowed in January but is still waiting to get his call-in letter. The service is awful for the fee paid but no one cares about service level when it comes to migrants...too bad.

Finally received the letter from HO asking for my passport. Had to wait little over two months. Let's see now how long the actual visa takes.
