Hi All

I got my tier1 general today.

Thanx everybody in this forum for all the support.I was a silent reader all these days going through all the posts.

It took 46 days.

WP to Tier 1 (G)
Applied on 27 March 2009
Reached HO 28 March 2009
Money deducted 28 March 2009(used postall order 250pounds x 3)
Reference letter 30 March 2009
Rang on 12 May 2009 and they say application dispatched.
Received docs today with visa stamped till may 2012

Right now i am on a work permit. My parent company is in India & i am working here in its UK subsidiary.

I have one doubt is it mandatory to inform my employer about my new visa.

Is there any rule that i should let my employer know abt the change in my visa status

Once again A BIG Thanx & Best of luck for all waiting for decision.

Thanx & Regards

Kishore Chowdary

No uplift ratio was applied for me, my indian salary was converted in GBP with the rate applicable as per Oanda.com on 30 Jan09 (that was the last day of my 12 month salary)

Thank you...I pray I receive the much awaited approval soon. It is still AFC. As far as I know, there are no complications. At least, caseworker has not informed me so. Do you have any clue on issues that may cause complications?

After sending in a complaint and UT I have been told it is on extended checks...but only God knows what is still being checked. I have no clue and of course, they won't give any detailed info. Well, praying for the best.

Okay guys, here are my timelines

HSMP extension to Tier 1 (G)
HSMP expiry date 5th April 2009
Applied on 31st March 2009
Acknowledgement letter dated 3rd April 2009
Money deducted 7th April 2009(found this delay a bit weird at the time)
Rang on 18th May 2009 and was told application had been dispatched.
Received docs 19th May with visa stamped till April 2012

All other supporting docs were sent in my initial application in 2007 so this time i only sent payslips and bank statements for proof of earnings.

hope this helps

OK.. as you say it is under AFC, than I think they are checking/verifiying something in your case and it also doesnt mean they are doing it daily..

It might be in process or already done but waiting somewhere.. or waiting for report on ur checks..

as you say there is no complication and staright forward in that case.. hold your nerves, stay calm becos they can not reject but only approve ur case.. All you need at this point of time is patience n cool mind.. Wish you all the best buddy...

I agree, Hoopsy. The checks are probably done cyclically. They bring out a batch, try to ring previous employers etc. if they can't get a response they put it back till the next cycle. A friend of mine's an immigration lawyer and told me this.

Hoping for good news very soon from you.
