Can HSMP/Tier1 dependant can work in UK?

Can HSMP/Tier1 dependant can work in UK?

Hi all,

Can HSMP/Tier1 Dependant can work in UK?
I heard there's some restriction for dependants to work.
But am not sure.

Please clarify it.

My husband is a Tier1 holder and residing in UK from Jan'09.
I'll be joining him in August.
And by profession I am a s/w engineer.

Can I work?
