Backdated ILR for everyone falling in ILR JR Category?

Post by Rex » Thu May 21, 2009 11:46 am

I was given FLR to complete 5 year to qualify for ILR.

Therefore is it true that I can apply for ILR anytime after completing 4 years and still get it started from the date when I completed my 4th year.

Fro example, if my 4 year complete on 1 July 09 and I apply for ILR in September 09 my ILR will still start from 1 July 09.

Thanks

I think ILR will start from September 09, but you will get a letter confirming that you qualify for naturalisation in July 10, at least it is what UKBA's announcement says ... have you read it ?
Good luck !

Where it is written exactly, I have not seen it anywhere for the category

"Migrants who will soon have completed four years' continuous residence in the United Kingdom in a qualifying category"

Thanks for your help.

I think the thinking maybe that those in "soon" category will apply when they wish which can be just b4, right on or soon after their due date. so because of that there is probably no need for the letter.
