**Can a person on Work permit apply for Tier 1 - Dependent ?

Hi

I recently got married and my wife holds a work permit for 5 years.
My HSMP visa is expires next month.

Can I apply for her as a dependent(extension) with my extension?
Can a person switch from work permit to Tier1 extension dependent?

Hi,

Unfortunately u cannot. T2/wp can be changed to t1 dependent only from the home country. In this case yr wife will have to go back to home country and file a fresh dependent visa application.

If applying for dependent after main applicant extension what should be the maintenance fund in my account be? Dependent works and earns here
should i maintain funds them in indian account or here?
