Employment letter for contractor (HSMP-ILR application)

Post by Sten » Fri May 29, 2009 12:54 pm

What should it look like ?

I, Johny Foreigner, director of Johny's Ltd, can confirm that Johny Foreigner is employed by Johny's Ltd as a Director and his services will be required in future .. bla ..bla

Isn't that ridiculous ?
Good luck !

True. Do you need this for extension? Can you not use your contract?

It says "ILR" in the subject line ...

Yes, I can use my contract, but the impression I had is that the employment letter is desirable too ..
Good luck !

I didnt need this. Accountant letter and contract were enough. Those self made employment confirmation letters are a bit silly unless you have a company secretary who issues/signs it.

btw, have you got your papers back .. I would be really grateful for the sample of the accounting letter, my accountant is not really proactive, just does what you ask him, and I am not sure what to put in that letter ...cheers
Good luck !

I mentioned in the other post that they didn't return my acc letter, but the points I had were:
Addressed to Croydon PEO.

We ABC are accountants for XYZ LTD. We can confirm that Mr John Smith is a 100% shareholder and director of XYZ LTD. For period A to B:

1. XYZ LTD had $$$ turnover
2. Mr John Smith took $$$ gross dividend ($$$ net)

No stamp just their signature.
I also had to tell him what to write, most accountants only do the minimal work required 8)
