Extended Checks...................how long exactly

Hi All,

Please post here your timelines and experiences if your application is on extended checks or still on whatever checks. Also, if you have received your response or you know someone who went through extended checks, kindly post experiences, timelines and outcomes here. Maybe we can see a pattern and help maintain sanity of all those still waiting.

I applied on 18-2-09 and got an email 3 days before from BHC Islamabd that some checks are on and so I should wait.

Hi Hoopsy,

posted my application on Feb 28th, My employers told me that they received enquiry on 20th April...then they sent back letter in same week...I got my passport back in May 7th..

hi same like ur case my friend applied on 18th march 09 at lahore for tier 1 visa. his verification has been done some time in April. but uptill today he has not yet received any reply.

did you email them? or you receive in respone to your email??? i will update u as he received.

Extended checks????????????....Now I'm clueless as to what exactly is being checked. It's not previous earnings as has been confirmed.......What exactly is going on?????????????

Hoopsy,just wondering what status you get for your application from HO call centre

AFC or On Extended Checks???

Mine is AFC for more than two weeks,employer verification has been done last week,previous earnings were from home country.

Well, whenever I call HO they tell me AFC. I made a complaint and they sent me letter that it's on extended checks. Still called after 4 weeks and they say AFC............

I know some one coming off from extended checks.....

There were actually no checks being carried out,his passport was probably sitting some where under pile of files for 8 months and got it back stamped after making second complaint within 3 days though it was student visa extension...

we can expect positive results after all this painful delay!!!

Hi All,

Tier 1 visa finally approved! God is truly awesome!

Waiting since January 2009.
Awaiting further consideration since Feb, on extended checks since March.
Approved June 2009 for 3years.

For all those still waiting I urge you to hold on strong, this too shall pass...and you shall be smiling sweetly as long as you're genuine. Don't get discouraged or frustrated by HO and all their checks. So long as you are genuine it will come through positive by God's grace.

And I can confirm that HO does check submissions for points claimed. Just hang in there!

Could u plz post ur exact dates from applying upto approval. My heartly congrats to u bcz i know how happy u will be after such a long time. I am waiting for the last 138 days since i applied on 18th Feb 09.

Approved and documents received 30 June 2009.

Don't worry, so long as all is genuine, by God's grace it will come thru positive. Remember, I waited 6months and that within UK.
