Dependent visa and HSMP APPLICATION

Post by Suuny74 » Tue Aug 30, 2005 12:09 pm

Dear All,

I have one query regarding HSMP for dependent visa holder. :?

what are the rules for dependent visa holder to apply for HSMP , while in uk?

If you are on student visa...can your partner apply for HSMP while on dependent visa..do they need to go back to home country and apply from their or they can apply from here but need to go back home for entry clearance ?

Thanks a lot

Yes, a dependant can apply for HSMP. But as far as I know, you can't switch from being a student's dependant to HSMP in country (see new switching rules on the UK General Immigration Forum). You would have to go back to your home country for EC after you get approval.
