Changing start date of visa before use?

Changing start date of visa before use?

I just got a tier 1 visa from the Canberra BHC, with a start date beginning of June.

Can I get it changed to end of next month as I don't travel until then.

I thought I'd seen a post about this earlier but searched and couldn't find it.

Did you state your intended travel date before?
There's no harm in asking for the effective date to be changed.

Yes I stated it, in the end the date it got processed was one day later than the date I stated.

However, I faxed them a couple of weeks ago (before it was processed) to move it forward, but I don't think that fax was attached to my application, as I did not get a copy of it back whereas I did get a copy of an earlier fax.

I have got my visa on 07/07/09 and have applied for the dependents on 10/07/09. I had sent a letter before my approval to change my visa start date but it has not been done so. My dependents case is still under process (too long).

Is there any option to get it changed now.

Kindly help.

NSUK:

wat did they reply for the request letter u sent earlier before ur approval.. i think u know that ur dependents get VISA Validity date same as your's.. it will not be other way round..

Dear Ramesh

They just did not took any step about the request letter I have sent to them to start my visa date atleast 20 days after the date of my approval.

Now my dependents' application is under process since last 19 days and I have already sent them copy of our flight itinirery to make things faster but no response as yet.

Don't know wether there is still any option left to be exhausted.

Kindly suggest.
