D. Immigration History
It is mandatory to complete Section D. If it is not complete the application will be invalid and
will be returned to the applicant.
Help on the questions is given at the end of this application form.
D1. Did the applicant obtain entry clearance or a visa before entering the United Kingdom?
Yes - go to question D2 No - go to question D5
D2. Where did the applicant obtain entry clearance or a visa before travelling to the United
Kingdom?

I had a tourist visa before I came to UK for the first time.Should I fill that visa in this section or should I start it with my entry clearance which is another visa in my passport?[/quote]

Pls. advise.....

I got hsmp visa starting feb 2008-feb 2010. i came to London in March 2008 and started working in June 2008 -currently working till June 2009(one year LIMITED CONTRACT)

By June 2009, I would have met the requirements for extension.

My question is can i apply in June 2009 and get extension stamped from Feb 2010 for three years.

This is because from June 2009(when my cuerrent job finishes), i will be left with only 8 months and minimum job contracts in my field(substance misuse) are for 1 year.

Pls. advise.....
ALL THIS IS STRESSING ME OUT.....

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

HSMP Extension (to Tier1)

Post by Prashanth_yadav » Tue May 19, 2009 12:11 pm

Hi all,

I have my HSMP visa valid till Feb3, 2010.
I am wishing to apply for an early extension and you have mentioned that your friend has successfuuly got early extension.

I have following doubts and shall be thankful if you can clear them

1. What is the correct application form that I need to submit?
2. From when would I get my extension is it from the day my visa expires or from the day of my application.
3. Will I be asked why I have opted for an early extension?

Many thanks,

Some Extension Form queries!!

Post by hsmp07 » Sun Jun 07, 2009 7:26 pm

I am planning to apply for Extension by end of next month as my HSMP visa is expiring in late August 2009. I had come to UK under HSMP in Sept 2007.

I was going through the form for my self and my spouse. I have a few queries:

Q1.
Section 1 - Payment Details

Can I make a payment with Visa Electron Debit card? On the form visa(including Electron) is listed under accepted credit cards and delta/maestro are listed under debit cards.

Q2.
Section 2 - Applicants Details

B10 Home office reference number (if known)?
B13 Points based system migrant reference number? (if known)

a.
On the HSMP approval letter there is a number on top that says 'Our Reference' , is that the Homeoffice reference number(B10) or Points based system migrant ref no(B13).
b.
Actually I have to apply for my spouse also, and she has similar questions on them - in section 2 Dependent details. I was wondering whether the same number as the main applicant has to be put in her form, as dependents dont get any seperate approval letter with some reference number.

Q3.
D4 : Reference number on entry clearance

On the entry clearance visa there are two numbers listed, one is on the top right in red, and the other is a long number (alpha numeric) at the bottom that starts with passport number. Which one of the two do I need to fill in??

Q4.
What is the preferred way of sending the application..Royal Mail or some courier service?

I would really appreciate if anyone can answer my questions. Thanks

Hi All,
I am a silent reader of this forum. My hsmp visa is going to expire on end of september. I am planning to apply for my visa extension on Aug-1st week.

I have few queries, please help me.

1) What is the best way to apply application -
- Application by post.
- Application in person.

2) In my bank statements, Every month I have two entries. one is salary and other one expenses. I don't want to claim any points for any expenses. My payslip amount is exactly there as one entry in my bank statement. Now my question is : Shall I need to write any explanation about expenses? If there are multiple entries in bank statement, is there any problem?

3) Currently my family is staying along with my sister family(house). I don't have any utility bills to show my residence proof other than bank statement and payslip. Shall I need to have any utility bills?

Thanks in advance

I've got a simple question....

how do you find out if your application is 'awaiting consideration' or 'under consideration'???

I wasn under the impression that you can't contact the HO by phone until 6 weeks had passed.

I submitted my application on 5 June 2009. Considering how quickly HO seem to be approving them, I'd like to know whether mine is under consideration yet.

Cheers for your help.

You Are right about immigration consultant.
I have got WORST experience with my friend.
He hired immigration consultant ,named as FIRST MIGRATION, & consultant name Steve King.
He spoiled one of my friend's Tier1 Extension,
He has NOT submitted all documents.
Due to which, He got REFUSAL & now struggling for APPEAL.
Say NO to immigration consultant,
They are cheater , time waster , money waster,
