HSMP TO PR ??? HOW MANY YEARS

Hi Guys,

I am aware that earlier it was a basic requirement of 4 years before one can apply for PR.

Could you please confirm that:

If a person is on HSMP, How many years one have to spend in UK before applying for PR

AND

If a person is on Work Permit, How many years one have to spend in UK before applying for PR

your early response would be highly appriciated.

At the moment it is four years for both visas. The government is talking about rasing it to five years as part of its five year immigration strategy. No one knows when this will happen though.

you dont have to apply for PR at the end of 4 years.

You can keep on just extending your visa (with LTR if you wish) at the end of your approved period

It is not compulsory to apply for ILR
