What if you don't have Birth Certificate?

and want to apply for Child Benefit? What sort of other document can be provided in order to make claim?

I called them up this morning.

Passport is alternative document you can send.
Arrived UK in Dec 2000, Received ILR Oct 2008, Citizenship Approved March 2016.

Passport is best document, but school documents can work.

If the child was baptised, a baptismal record could work but you need to be able to explain why a birth certificate is not available.
