Hi mghe,

I would suggest you to choose accompanying the main applicant so incase if your dependant is called for an interview.. she doesnt has to lie to visa officer that your in uk..

better to tell the truth..and i dont think theres any problem whatever you choose to answer as...

good luck

If you have been in Uk for more than 12 months you need to show GBP533 per dependants.

Hello,

I am aware that the VFS can courier our visa back to residence. But I might not be at my residence after my wife applying for the visa. So can we give an alternate address for delivery? Do VFS agree to that or is collect at the centre the only option? please help

Thanks,

Yes you can give them any alternative address thats ok ,but some one at that address has to hadover acknowlegement paper(ack paper given to you at the time of application by VFS) when courier arrives.

Another option is to rather collect it at the VFS office its self.

Hello Everyone,

I am planning to apply for my dependants (wife+kid) this september, btw I got my visa done Jan 09 - validity: march 09 to march 12. Landed here on march 14th and got a job after 1 month of search....In sept i will complete 6 months in UK and will apply for visa for my dependants.

Questions:

1. Do I need 1600 * 2 = 3200 + 2800 £ as Maintenance Fund?
2. Or do I need 1600 * 2 = 3200 + 800 £ as Maintenance Fund?

Please help...any advice on this really appreciated!!

Cheers
Jedi001

Friend,

I have also same kind of confusion and yesterday i got dependant policy document in that they mentiond clearly that we need to show 1600 * 2 = 3200 + 800 £ as Maintenance Fund.

see below link:
