My wife is currently applying to renew her EEA family permit for the UK (through the UK Embassy in Brussels) - but over the past two weeks she has found that there there are no appointments scheduled for her to give her biometric data. Indeed, it would appear that there are no appointments scheduled for at least the remainder of 2009.
Does anyone know when the appointments table for the UK embassy in Brussels is populated? What would be the best way to ensure that she has her visa before we are due to travel at the end of July?
I am a UK citizen who is employed in Belgium. Is her experience falling foul of the requirements to give the non-EEA spouses of Union Citizens visas without delay?
(The fact that she has already been fingerprinted twice is no relevance here, but it is interesting to see that the UK expects that individual's fingerprints change every six months...)
