British Citizenship for new born

If parents have ILR well before birth of the baby, do we still need to apply for MN1 form or directly apply for British citizenship/passport ?
Could someone shed light on this.Thanks in advance.

Child would be british if born in UK to settled (ILR) or British Parent. You can apply for child british passport directly.
