Please share your views with me....attested copy issue!!!

Post by 9603196090 » Fri Jun 19, 2009 12:57 pm

Dear everyone

I have submitted a fresh application today. As per the requirements of UKBA the letter from bank which I submitted clearly shows:
my name, account no./fixed deposit number, amount of deposit, date of deposit. bank logo on the letterhead
the bank confirms that:
The balance amount in this FDR as on 18/06/2009 is Rs.3,00, 000/-
The balance amount maintained in this FDR(FIXED DEPOSIT RECEIPT) during the period 13.02.2009 to 18.06.2009 is Rs. 3,00,000/-for account no. xxxxxx. THESE FUNDS ARE CLEARLY and UNCONDITIONALLY available for immediate withdrawals or can be LIQUIDATED at any given point of time and can be readily availed by the depositor on demand. also the funds did not fall below Rs. 3 lakhs since deposition.

when I was submitting the documents at VFS visa application centre, the concerned person who was taking my docs asked me to give original FIXED DEPOSIT RECEIPT....which I did not have at that time...so I gave him a photo copy of that FDR attested by BANK.

My question is does this receipt has any significance in my application or it will just serve only as additional document. Although I gave him original letter from bank confirming funds as stated above. I think this letter meets all the requirements of appendix c, paragraph 245c and 245x(e). Does this attested photo copy affects my application????please can anybody share their views.....The UKBA/BDHC only need a letter of confirmation of funds.......

thanks in advance

Cheers

Abdul

If you have provided Bank Letter confirming the funds, I think thats enough evidence to prove your maintenance funds.

You need to submit original FDR., not the copy.

Usually, the BHC takes only original documents not the copy... only exceptional docs like US green card etc can be sent as a copy.

@dima

it is not just a copy....it is ATTESTED copy which I think is equivalent to Origianal as the the bank officials have stamped on it with the signature of senior manager....and although I submitted an original letter confirming funds....do you still think there would be any problem???

Please reply

Cheers

If you have provided original letter from the Bank (Financial Institution) nothing else is required.

@dima
hey dima
at that time i didn't have original fdr...cuz my intention was to submit only the original fixed deposit balance certificate cum confirmation letter...i carried only the attested copy....

I submitted original letter confirming funds which is functioning also as fixed deposit balance certificate.

The attested copy which i am talking about is the one which is not necessary...it is a receipt for my personal satisfaction....
as per the rule, a letter from bank confirming funds is enough....why do u still thinks like this??

don't u think it is an additional document????

please clarify your views!!!

and thanks for your replies

Cheers!

Hi All,

You are fine. A attested copy of the FDR and the Letter from Bank confirming your Balance is acceptable preferable that you stated it in a cover letter, which I guess you did in you letter above.You should be fine.

Cheers.

@1971

how do you know???

did nyone get visa on this basis???

please share your views.....

I didn't mention heading as covering letter or note instead I named it as

EXPLANATORY NOTES(MAINTENANCE)

WILL IT BE ALRIGHT?

also I stated on this explanatory notes that:

The fixed deposit balance certificate cum letter from bank MEETS ALL THE REQUIREMENTS OF AppendixC, Paragraph 245C, and 245x(e)"

does it matters???

Hi,

Thanks for sharing the FD format with me.
I need to know that whether I need to get the NOC from the landlord. When checked with the VFS they had given list of suggested document. In that they mentioned about the NOC letter from the land lord. Please let me know that whether we need to submit the NOC letter.

Hi,

From the bank SBI today we got the statement for 6 months for my saving account. In the statement letter there is no SBI logo, but it has attested and seal and signature from the SBI bank manager.
When we asked in the bank for the letter with logo they told they don't have any letter head with logo, I would like to know that if I am submitting the document without logo it will make any issue.

Kandasamy
