settlement visa help

hi, i have applied for psw and waiting decision since december 2008, i got married in feburary in uk but i cant apply for approval certificate as home office is having my passport, so i was thinking to withdraw my application and go back home country and apply for settlement visa,but my husband thinks we should wait, as we dont know how long will take from pakistan ,any help will be appreciated.thankyou

my friend married january 2008 send her passport february 2008 and recived it back march 2009 so my advice is to sit and wait .......be pacient
