pakistan settlement processing time

I am a uk citizen going to pakistan to apply for my wifes visa, ive got 5 weeks holiday from work and im hoping that they process the visa within 5 weeks so that i can take my wife back with me as she may not be well enough to travel alone. just want to know how long are islamabad taking to process the visa nowadays because i have heard they are slow, or will submitting it elsewhere like mirpur or karachi be faster. or If I add a letter or contact gerry to let them know this will they process it faster.
