Post by moneyminded » Mon Jun 22, 2009 3:08 pm

Hi,
Parents Comming to Ireland through UK. Do they need Visit visa or Visitor in Transit Visa? to transit through UK. Their website states that they need Visit when comming to Ireland and Visit or Visitor in Transit when going from Ireland. Any ideas on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.

they will be coming from India which is a Visa National and DATV nrequired National as well.

Yes, they will need a visitor's visa for UK even if just transiting through the U.K.

If you are a national of a country to which the transit without visa concession does not apply and you are transiting to Ireland, you will need to hold a visit visa for the United Kingdom. A direct airside transit visa or visitor in transit visa cannot be used to travel to Ireland.

Yes they do. Go via Amsterdam instead.
