reference number on entry clearance- another urgent one

Post by ginagee » Fri Jul 03, 2009 11:33 am

Hi,

I originally entered the UK on a working holiday visa.

There is a question on pg 20 of Tier 1 (general) which says

Please enter the reference number on the entry clearance or visa which can be found in the applicants passport or travel document?

- Is this the VAF number on the visa or is it the big printed number in red?

Thanks alot, any info is most appreciated

I have also read responses to this question which has been asked previously and diff answers are provided.
Some say VAF number some say red number

CAN ANYONE CLARIFY THIS FOR SURE???

@ginagee

as far as I know Home Office does not matter even if you fail to mention it.....nyways, it is a Big Red Number at the top right starting with 00xxxxxxx.....please wait for others reply as well.

All the best!

Cheers!

Are you making in country application?
If you are then are you sure that you can switch from WHM to TIER1 within the U.K. I do not think so.. other members please correct me if I am wrong.

You can use reference no. of the letter which you might have received with your visa. If not, then you can use the RED NO. on the right hand side top corner of your visa stamp page as mentioned by other member.

In either case, HO can track/pull your records with the information.
