Spouse Visa from Pakistan

Post by ska_abbas » Tue Jul 07, 2009 7:21 pm

Hello there, I am going to apply for my wife's visa later this year (currently she is in Pakistan). I was a bit concerned about the documents I need to submit along with the application.

The documents I thought of are as follows;

Visa Form
Passport of my wife
National ID Card of my wife
Evidence of relationship
TB screening
Biometric details
Visa Fee

Copy of my Passport
Copy of my National ID Card
Pay slips covering last few months
Letter from work place
Letter of accommodation
Bank Statements

Maintenance Fund
I was a bit concerned about maintenance funds, if somebody could clear it to me, it would be great. After reading UKBA's web page, I understood;
that there should be 1600 quid for last three months.

for example
if I have just 2000 quid in my account and they stay there for three months, would this be okay?

Wedding
Is it must to submit; wedding invitation card, photos from wedding etc?

are there any other documents which are not mentioned here?

Are you applying for a spouse visa as a british citizen?. Or are you here on a work permit and want to apply for your dependant wife visa?.

This info is required as the rules are diffrent for both these type of visas

You will have to wait advise from someone who has had a similar application. I think there is something which requires that you have to have a certain amountof money for 3 months continious. Ho wmuch that is I dont know.

The rest of the documents seem to be in order and are what you will be required to supply

Thanks for your reply, I am pretty much sure about the other documents

Just not 100% on maintenance funds

if I have 2000 pounds in my bank account for 3 months, would this be enough for the visa?

Please can anybody reply, who has been in the same situation

many thanks
