Can a compnay make you pay for your own permit?

Post by Kay » Tue Jul 07, 2009 7:29 am

Just a quick question,

Can a company make you pay for your own permit if you have been in a job several years and they have paid it in that time.

Thanks in advance.

no, not under employment permit act 2006.

problem is thou, if you don't agree, you might run risk of the employer not applying for one for you (you can of course apply yourself)

Hi,

Either you or your employer can pay for your application since January 2007.
Please see the application form - Part Four, Payment Details.
http://www.entemp.ie/publications/labou ... permit.pdf

So, as long as you and your employer make an agreement about the payment, it will be no problem.

I paid the fee for my application in March 2007.

Regards,
