COS and Urgency

Post by smiles345 » Fri Jul 10, 2009 7:39 pm

a company granted PBS license and in the letter UKBA mentioned that the available number this year is zero. but they want to apply for a employee under the tier 2 [shortage occupation] . can the company still log on to the system and apply? or write to the relevant department and get the numbers allocated? please would anyone advise the link for the contact details. or can they just log on to the CMS and apply?

every year there is a COS limit assigned by HO to the employers. that means if HO gives permission to assign 2 COS to employer per year then the employer wont be able to assign 3rd one for that year. Do tell your HR manager to write to WP department in sheffield and see wht they say. Because when the company logs on to the online system it will say the limit for this year is 0 as mentioned in the letter by UKBA. So please tell ur HR department to get confirmation on that from WP department.

Sounds like the company has used its allocation for this year and needs to request more. Or the UKBA messed up and gave them a zero allocation.
