Thanks.
Hi Audi2111,

Could you please tell me how long it took to have your original passport back after you submitted your passport application? I am travelling in 4 weeks time and Home Office is advising that it may take longer for them to return supporting docs (mainly my current passport).

Thanks.

passport was sent via post office check and send on the 30th of june... so that's about 10 days later....They say 4 weeks just incase but generally by the looks of things from other people's timelines, it about 2-3 weeks.

Thought I'd just add a tip. Just called the nationality helpline. Per advice earlier at the forum called between 8 and 9 pm. They are indeed a lot less busy at this time. They guy was very polite and looked my application up in spite of the fact that it is less than 6 month old. Unfortunately the wait is not over for me  however I was glad to hear they they do not just dismiss people whose application is less than 6 month.
For reference here is my timeline:

Had my original interview for the passport in London on the 16th of July but rescheduled it to Crawley which was less busy. Passport received at 6pm on the 15th of July, which makes me think it is not really standard mail which arrives in the morning, but rather hand delivered.

Good luck to all.

Hi everyone
Can u please answer my query?. On the UKBA website they say that the waiting time is 6 months, but looking at this thread almost every one is getting their naturalisation in 4-6 weeeks?
Is the time different for different nationalities?

I'm happy to say that my application process has now been FINALLY finished! I just needed to confirm the date of my ceremony, which I finally was able to do last night!

What a MAJOR relief :-) And, as I've often said on a seemingly interminable number of occasions the last several months, best of luck to those still waiting!!

HSMP JR affected members

Post by Filipinas » Tue Jul 21, 2009 11:39 am

Just double checking here if there are any of the HSMP JR affected members who have forwarded their application for naturalisation- or have they just posted it as 5 year stay? I am just trying to see if there's anyone who got approvals earlier than 6 months.

To me it seems that more often than not, those who are applying under marriage/partnership to a BC are getting the results back a lot quicker than others. Hope other HSMP JR affected members would start posting.
