I was granted ilr last after 14 years which is discreetionary. I want my son who will be 18 on 09/10 before then to join me. anyone out there who can tell me a way out coz am finding it hard to meet the HO's requirements. (ie support and accommodation. :wink:

You also might have another problem, namely, in order get get your son a Child Settlement visa, you will need to show that you have Sole Responsibility for him.

So where is the son now? And who has been looking after him all these years? And what part have you had in making the important decisions in his life .... where to live .... where to go to school ... etc?

Is your son's other parent still alive?
