Dear friends, iam planning to apply uk student visa my previous passport was damaged and renewed, recently i found to know that i lost my old passport. will that be needful when the time of applying visa ? thanks if you do the favour

All you need is a passport with at least 6months of validity. If its your first time of applying for UK visa then you don't have to mention it. Otherwise you can state dat you've lost your old passport. "there is a question in application form about old passport".

You don't have to take it very serious.
