Initial HSMP between July 2006 to Nov 2006

Post by Premkumar99 » Fri Jul 24, 2009 1:22 pm

Hi there,
I thought to start a thread for the above group. I got my initial HSMP during Sep 2006 and I got my extension for 3 years under HSMP JR.
I am sure that I would be able to get my PR after completing 5 years in sep 2011.
I would like to know how the new citizenship rules would affect me. Do I need to wait for another 2
years after getting my PR to get british passport? Can I apply for PR in july 2011 so that I could be covered?
Also my kids were all born in the U.K during my initial hsmp period.
Is it true that my kids could get british passport once I get my PR? Kindly let me know please.

Your kids will be able to apply for british citizenship once you receive ILR.
as per existing rules.

For ILR, HSMP JR covers people entered UK up to Nov 06 but the new law passed few days back covers people entered UK only upto July 06 as it mentioned to below. You may have to apply for Probationary citizenship which will be point based. Read point 23.

HSMP JR Apr to Nov 2006

Post by Premkumar99 » Mon Jul 27, 2009 10:32 am

Hi, Do you mean to say that I cannot get ILR/PR after completing
5 years of stay here. when I applied for my HSMP initially
in sep 2006 , I was promised to get ILR/PR after 5 years of stay.
So if I cannot get ILR in 5 years I could go for a judicial review.
what do you guys think? I dont know from where they got july 2006?
why dont they extend it until nov 2006 so that everyone would
be covered. This is not fair. I think again we should all unite and fight.
But since this group is considered to be small we might have so many
people affected.

But I remember some time that homeoffice has published separately
in their website to cover April 2006 TO nOV 2006. They said that this group would
be given PR/ILR after 5 years of stay. Correct me if I am wrong guys.
Please guys if anyone fall in this group leave your comments....

Hi guys,I was talking about this link.
please check this link for Migrants who applied to the highly skilled migrant programme between 3 April 2006 and 7 November 2006

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... er-remain/

Please let me know what it covers. So according tio this I could get PR/ILR.
My kids could get british passport once I get PR/ILR. My question is
how lond would it take for me to get british passport. I am ready to do
voluntary work or whatever. Would it be another 2 years for me to get british
passport? corrrect me if I am wrong. Let me know guys.
Guys if anyone in this group leave your comments as well.

According to what I've read at HSMP Forum (UKBA communication with them), you will get ILR after 5 years, the new citizenship rules will take JR into account. If there are problems later on, I am sure this group will fight again. If you are concerned about the unfairness of the new citizenship rules, I suggest you join and support this group.

As of I know , HSMP applicants who got approval before Nov 2006 will get PR in 5 years .

But It is not fair for Citizenship to increase the time to 3 years .

We should all fight against this unfair rule .

Citizenship

Post by Premkumar99 » Tue Jul 28, 2009 3:38 pm

So If we can get ILR/PR after 5 years how it is going to affect our path to naturalise.
Do we need to wait for another 3 years to get naturalise as a british citizen or if we
do some voluntary work would it reduce the time. If I get PR/ILR then my kids would be eligible to apply for british citizens since they were born here. Kindly let me know guys.

Comments are all over the threads I suggested, obviously.
In case you hadn't realized, people woke up to this issue months, even years ago. You seem to be the last. People have been fighting UKBA/Home Office, writing letters, doing what they can for a long time. Go to those threads and catch up, do some work, it's demanding of you to just say "wake up and reply".

hsmp between sep to nov 2006

Post by Premkumar99 » Fri Jul 31, 2009 8:10 am

Hi , I am just confused about this this group. They can get ILR in 5 years under HSMP JR but BC or whatever you call under new rules. I think it would be better for the homeoffice to extend until nov 2006 so that everyone is covered. share your input guys.....

Thats what every one wants (atleast the impacted people...) still unclear on many things but would wait for further communication from the parliament/UKBA... untill then i would recommend you to go with the latest update on UKBA website on pre nov 06 hsmp guys... for ILR

That is a lovely attitude you have. You write complete and utter nonsense when other people post questions and are on occasion offensive. Yet you expect people to treat you with respect!!!!!!!
