Study and work in Canada

Friend from my motherland is asking if there any study and work programs in Canada? It looks for him that educaton and student visa are too costly. Will he be able to find any job to reimberse atleast 50% of expanses?

No, they won't issue the study permit unless you have sufficient funds to pay the first year tuition and $10K for first year living expenses. Not eligible for off campus work permit for PT work until 6 months of schooling completed.
