Hi the time can very on when they stamp the passport and give it back in most cases its same as how long a visa application takes which i about 4-5 weeks. i have sent my appeal to the embassey i hope and pray they overturn it. One thing i didnt provide them was a letter from the MP. was the MP in your opinion the main reason why they gave you this swift reply and overturned the decision quickly

RM786 my MP was in my favour he was very good,He wrote to them to hurry up with the appeal and grant the visa as he has seen the papers and strongly believes its a fair case, even after the appeal went through he wrote back to me to tell me he spoke to HO and found out that the visa was accepted and wrote to congratulate me.
You should get your MP to write to the Ho to hurry up with the appeal.

786sam,

Thanks i will be contacting my MP to try and get him to help me out.
I hope your husbands passport comes back very soon inshallah as i know aswell as you how stressfull the wait can be.

Aisha,

Yes our application took 5 weeks but it was a refusal so not all good in the middle of the appeal process at the moment. When you e-mail the embassey what sort of reply do they give you?? If you list all the supporting evidence you gave with your application on the thread it will be helpfull.

Thankyou.
Was 794 and Desperate Wife

I cant believe you have not heard anything at all since March 2009. Thats coming upto 6 months now. It shouldnt take that long. Am I correct one of you had to do your biometrics again?

What have you and your spouses done from UK?. have they contacted MP, Home Office, BHC in Pakistan?
batleykhan - my wife applied on 12th JUNE at Lahore - i am her sponser - i earn more than enough money to support us both and will be living with parents for the first year - i do own a house but rent it out i didnt mention on the application that i own a preoperty as i felt it wasnt necessary.
been waiting over 1 month so my case is not a major concern at the moment!!! inshallah it will be approved within the next 1 month - cant wait to be with my mrs in my home country the UK!!!

poor desperatewife she has been waiting for along time!! i advise her to write to local MP to chase it up with the home office or go on hunger strike outside the headoffice !!! LOL :x

batleykhan

u r popular and u remember well on this fourm:)

Yes it was me who had the biometrics done again. From karachi, 9th March was the first time when i submitted my application and then again on the 5th May after having the biometrics done again....that was after 30 working days the idiots suddenly realized that they had made a mistake

My biometrics were done again on 5th May and i was issued a new tracking number and my application went right to the bottom of the que again!.......u feel like shooting them!

SO now from 5th May to 5th Aug (next week) it will be 60 working days passed.

at the begining of this month July I hav emailed and chased them up (UKBA HUB & ISB UK embassy) and first they replied that my application is held in a que.....so even after 30 working days it was bloody held in a que! .....then suddenly the next day they replied again that my application was being processed and i should wait to be contacted.

Do you think my application will be delayed further since the idiots had to move their offices from London on the 20th July as stated on gerry's website?.....i hav a feeling that I may well get a reply now during Ramadan (late Aug to Mid Sep) :x .... what do u think?

Yes they do as long as you have paid 40 % tax on it to HM Inspectorate of Taxes. :!: :?:

Hi there, ive recently applied for my wifes visa. I am student and i only work part time from which i earn 90.00 pounds a week which totals to 360£ a month. I also own a property which is freehold and i receive rental income of 385£ pounds from that a month. So my total monthly income is 760 pounds a month. When my wifes comes over we will be staying with my parents. My parents dont want us to contribute any money towards the bills or food etc. I also have savings of 3000 pounds. From my income i feel it will be very unlikely that my wife will get a visa. When my wife comes over she intnds to become a self employe tailor specialising in asian garments. I mentioned this in the paper work.

If the visa is refused do you think it would be a good idea to include a business plan??? And include some Market research which i can conduct on her behlaf i.e sending qustionaires to asian families about the average price they pay for suites, how easy is it to find a tailor etc. All the response i get i could put this forward to the eco along with my business plan.

As i am an accounting student i can produce a business plan my self including cash flows etc. I also intend to buy a sewing machine and include all the receipts in the paperwork. I also intend to include business cards of my wifes propsed tailors business forward to my new application.

Do you think its good a idea?
any sugesstions ???

thanks

Ok my friend, I hate to be a bearer of bad news, but you havent got a cat in hells chance . I will tell you why

On the basis of the information that you have given above, you appear to be a young student working part time, earning £90.00 per week.

However you have managed to buy your own house which you say you are renting and recieving an income.

How have you managed to buy a house on your name on the money that you are earning?.

I think it was your dads house which he has transfered onto your name, either to avoid paying tax on teh income he could have recieved on it, or he has given it to simply because you want to apply for your wifes visa. Isn't it?

You say you have your own house, but when your wife comes you are still going to be living with your parents and they are not going to ask you for any money etc?

You say you have savings of nearly £3000 from doing a £90 job? I think most people would find that hard to believe.

You have said that your wife is unlikely to get a visa on your income alone, therefore you are dependant on her to work and get enough money for both of you to live on here in teh UK?.

My friend you have said you will do this and that for your wife to get her the visa, but you are forgetting that your wife's success or failure in getting a visa depends ON YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES AND YOUR ABILITY TO SUPPORT, ACCOMADATE HER WITHOUT RECOURSE TO PUBLIC FUNDS.

I am afraid you will not convince the ECO to give your wife a visa on the basis of what you have said above. I think your personal circumstances will raise so many doubts in the ECO mind, he could probaly refuse you on half a dozen matters.

I am sorry you may not want to read or hear this, but you have to take my word on it. I have seen it so many times before.

By applying you are just going to waste in excess of £1000 of your precious money down the drain.

My advise is to wait. Wait till you have finished your course ( if you are doing that), look for a job in your proffesion. ( my son is only 21, also an accountant earning in the region of £22000 per year) and then apply. You will have no problem.

I am sorry about this. Its just that I like to be honest and truthful with people even though it may hurt their feeling.

You can go to a solicitor and he will promise you the heaven and earth, but they will be doing it only for the money.

I hope if ever I am proved wrong its on this occasion, and hope you succeeed if you are going with your plans and ideas.

Good luck

batleykhan - you just shot down b92753 !!! poor guy...

batleykhan - are you waiting for a visa also?

i also got a house but ive not mentioned anything about it because i felt it would confuse the stupid ECO. spoke to my Mrs today she rang up the hotline number to check visa applications from pakistan they told her to ring back in 6 days - it took her 2 hours of constant trying to get them on the phone!!! fingers are crossed hopefully inshallah visa will be sorted soon.

Batlley Khan, i have had the house in my name for the past 5 years. Therefore receiving a rental income of 385£ for the past 5 years or so. It was given to me as a gift from my father. No : 2 I have been doing a part time job for the past 6 years. If i earn 90.00 a week, that gives me a total yearly income of 4680. Say i save 2000 from that a year and spend the rest. I assume that answers your qustion how i got the 3000 pounds savings. Also In the holidays i do extra hours earning up to 200 pounds a week. So Next time before you make assumptions do your calcuclations.
