Hi,
Congrats for getting visa.
Is your Tax-p60 covers whole one year payslips?

Thanks
Srini

In country application.
• Application sent on 17th June.
• Acknowledgement letter received 22nd June
• Passport and document received with visa on 25th June
Visa granted for 3 years.
It’s very quick (5 working days) service postal service although I was thinking of applying in person but very difficult to get an appointment. If anyone wants to apply in person make sure you book your appointment at least 3-4 months advance.

Documents sent:
1. No cover letter
2. One year’s payslip
3. Tax- P60
4. Employer letter with job and salary payment confirmation
5. One year bank statement
6. All other documents were submitted with previous HSMP application so didn’t require to submit with this application.

:) HSMP to Tier1 done

Post by gvijaygadde » Sun Aug 02, 2009 7:07 am

Hi All,

I am one of the silent member of this GREAT FORUM.silent member of this forum.
Last Friday my HSMP to Tier1 extension application was approved.
Here are details of my application processing.

Documents sent: 13th July,2009.
Documents received: 14th July,2009.
Acknowledgement letter dated 14th July,2009 received on 17th July,2009.
Received documents with VISA stamped: 31st July,2009

Total processing time: 17 days ( 3weeks).

They are really good, processing the extension applications very fast.

Before I sent out my postal applications, at least for a week I was tried for an personal appointment in July, no luck. Thanks to workpermit.com forum - as some one suggested, rather waiting for personal appointment I better apply for a postal application.

WISH YOU ALL THE VERY BEST TO ALL THE APPLICANTS.
regards,VJ. :D :D :D :D :D

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all the great information on this forum!

Two years ago, I had paid an agency to do my HSMP visa, which was granted, but I had to do a lot of follow-up with the Home Office myself. So this time, with the help of this forum, I decided to do the Tier 1 application myself. I wouldn't have been able to do it without everyone's great advice. Thank you!

Application Sent : 08/08/2009 (Saturday) via special delivery for arrival on 10/08/2009 (Monday)
Fees Deducted : 11/08/2009
Confirmation Letter from HO : 14/08/2009
Passport & documents Received: 20/08/2009
Total Processing Time(Working Days) : 9 Working Days!!!

Good luck to everyone with their applications.

I didn't mean you're unfortunate. its for all of us.This is the way the system plays with us.

Technically as per you application you should be allowed to get you're ILR by July but now you'll have to apply by dec. here we all are unfortunate as we paid the fees and was liable to get the ILR as per intital date of approval b'cause we can stay 180 days away from UK out of 5 yrs. requirement for ILR

By the way congrats once again for your visa

This is not based on demand. it is as per case

It is very unfortunate because your ILR application will get delayd for that time.

In itaza's case he will apply for his ILR in dec instead of July while his initial approval was in july.

I hope this will help you.
I didn't ask for it and it s not "unfortunate" that I got the visa for 3.5 years instead of 3. In fact I was pleasantly surprised because if I had gotten the extension for 3 yrs only then at the end of the 3 years my total stay in the UK would have been 4 years and 6 months, not 5 years required for the ILR.

Dear dnshah2k,

I couldn't find anything in the home office website regarding only staying 180 days away in 5 years. I remmber it was 90 days per year total 450 days. can you please say where I can find it?

Dear mate,

Congratulations. May I ask when was the expiry date of your 2 year HSMP and when is the expiry of your 3 year tier 1 visa?

I want to see if I apply a few months before the expiry, do they extend from the date of the expiry of the first visa or not?

thanks,

Mah
