Permanent Resident and Applying for spouse visa

Post by drramanjett » Thu Jul 30, 2009 9:33 am

May I know in what way is it harder for a permanent resident to get visa for wife then a temporary resident.

My background
I am a GP with Permanent Residence in UK Since June 09 (prev HSMP)
I own 2 properties
I am however currently renting in a different city due to work opportunity.
I make 80k+ pa in a salaried position.
We are getting married in November 09 , She is graduate in English honours and currently doing an MBA in HR.

I understand that I would need

3-6 m bank statements
marriage certificate
contract showing pay
satisfactory accommodation letter from my letting agency

Do you see any pitfalls in planning for a successful spouse visa. I take it the visa facilitation centres can do this within a day. (I am Indian and I come from Chandigarh- which has a VFS)
