CheckList verification for Tier 1 General

Post by amar_2009 » Wed Jul 29, 2009 3:14 pm

Hi,
I have taken an appointment on 6th august to deposit my Tier 1 general visa.
Can you please verify my check list for Tier 1 general.

1.Cover letter for each section.
2. Application Form
3. Copy of self assessment point calculation form.
4.Original passport.
5 Original 10th,12th, College Degree and consolidated Market sheet.
6.One year payslip from the current employer stamped and signed.
7.One year bank statement from the bank where salary is credited.Statement is stamped and signed on each page.

8.Statement from bank stating I have a salary account for this company.

9.Recent tax return proof.

10.3 months original bank statement for mantainace proof.

One doubt is I am providing 3 months original bank statement for mantainace proof. do I need to give a letter from bank stating my balance has never been lower than XX.HDFC bank does not agree to give this type of letter. They are telling that we dont have this type of format.

Do I need a letter for Accomodaiton from any one in UK.

Hi Amar,

Yes its better to have a letter from HDFC stating that you have maintained the minimum amount 2800 for three months, they will give you a letter without any problem,I have recently taken one from HDFC bank for the same purpose.

Regards

I provided a copy of application n docs before I came 2 UK n thought it is same now.. so questioned..

Well my opinion is not to give anything superfluous. If you provide photocopies of documents, when these are not required, dont be surprised if you get your application pack back with a rejection + a note saying you are supposeed to provide originals and not photocopies. It is safest to provide what is minimum but adequate - not less not more. We have see in a umber of cases- case workers are not the wittiest creatures in this world.... play safe.. but dont over do/kill.

I "questioned" to check if he need to furnish a copy(extra copy) along with originals. why the hell they will reject.. god knows...

PM me if u still want to further discuss on this

Have nothing more to add apart from reiterating the point that one should not provide anything which is not required. If one does so, the risk is that the ignorant caseworkers may make an error of overlooking the original & required evidence (they are quite prone to making mistakes and we should not give them an opportunity to make mistakes)

Thank you all for your kind help.

As per your suggestion I have taken a letter from HDFC stating that the statements from XX to XXX given by us are authenticate and can be verified at any time.

But another doubt. Please have a look to the below line.

I have salary slip from July 2008 to June 2009 sealed and signed and also bank statement for those above date with logo, seal, signed.

But in the month of July amount of net salary mentioned in salary slip does not exactly match in bank statement because net salary includes some joining bonus which is deposited in my current account not in my salary account.I am providing my salary saving a/c as all my net salary goes to this account.

Is there any problem with this ??

Can I exclude July from 12 month range as 11 month also qualifies my right point.

You can do any of the 2things..

1. Get a letter from the employer explaining the consiprency between net amount in the pay slip n that in the bank statement.. and expalin in the cover letter while u apply

2. If you are safely qualifying for the earnings points with july09 pay.. submit only those payslips which u want to claim points for; and PLEASE make sure you CLEARLY explain this in the cover letter;

You can use highlighter or pencil. The problem with Pen is, if you miss the stoke..you may end up disturbing the amount printed on statement.

Pencil ANYDAY !! :)

I would suggest you to mark the rows with a Pencil, remember it is the Original Bank statement and I wouldnt advise you to make any permanent markings on it.

Amar, one silly question, you are submitting originals of your PG certificates?

This question arises since, in your first post you mentioned like below.

5 Original 10th,12th, College Degree and consolidated Market sheet.

Sorry, if i hav mistaken on anyway.

Amar,

Some more things one needs to re-check while submitting the application.
Its human tendancy to forget somethings or take them granted but at the end creates probs.

Part 6: Previous Applications and Travel History

Think twice while answering all the questions in this area. Gather all your past deeds with respect to questions in your application and passport.

Part 7 Additional Information:
Do not hesitate to use this area, if you feel you want to let the ECO to know more about your applicatoin ( where questions in the application may not provide the chance)

Part 8 Declaration:

Read this area atleast twice, its human tendency to assume everything goes fine if we hav all correct docs( ofcourse this stands still true, but we should be more cautious).
Declaration gives you very good info though we assume we know manythings.

All these are just cautionary measures, not to frightend you:):)
Happy submisson.

Ving: Good point..

yeah if he submits 10 or 12th, bachelors certificates n forget the MAIN Masters original will put him in soup..

better stick to wat HO asks for like marksheets n 10th n 12th certificates are not required..

U can use Degree certificate for English language in some cases..
