No you are wrong. The child is British by descent.rogerroger wrote:Hi,
If one's parents are british citizens by descent and the child is born outside of the UK, then the child is not entitled to british citizenship, is that correct?
however if the child is born in a country where he/she can not acquire the citizenship by birth, then would the child not be left without any citizenship?

Otherwise I think the Child wouldn't be British. In exceptional cases, the Home Secretary may register a child of parents who are British by descent as a British citizen under discretionary provisions, for example if the child is stateless.
