You marry first in Croatia, and then apply at the British Embassy for a Spouse visa. You don't need a visa to get married.

yeah we're both over 21...but we wanna get married in the uk,as my bf cant get so much free time to arrange all papers and travel to Croatia to get married(the process is longer then in the uk)..
so what I wanna know, can i get married there and then come back to Croatia to ask for a spouse visa,or first i have to get the spouse visa and then do the ceremony?

visa to get married

You would need to get issued with a fiance visa which grants you 6 month in which to marry in the UK and then once married you convert into a spouse visa in the UK and no need to return to Croatia for papers.

In your best interest you should apply for a spouse visa back home. A visa is now issued for 2 years and 3 months. Just a marriage and a chidl is not sufficient. You and your sponsor must meet the requirements under para 281 HC395, briefly, he must be able to maintain and acocmmodate you and the child without recourse to public fund and the accommodation should be adequate. They will be also looking into whetehr your relationship is genuine, some some certaion proof of relationship will be required.

Have I missed something? Where was there a mention of a child, and the OP has already said she doesn't want to marry in Croatia as her fiance can't get the time off from work and the process is longer. My daughter-in-law is Croatian...she applied for a fiance visa and married my son in
the UK.
Apply at the British Embassy in Croatia on form VAF4a. The application fee is £585, this will give you 6 months in which to marry in the UK.
After the marriage you will need to apply in the UK on form FLR(M) for a 2 year spouse visa. You're both over 21?

The sentence 'We want to get married' gives a good indication that he does. And the child that Immigration Advisor appears to have assumed exists???...and I fail to see why this 'Advisor' believes it would be in the OP's best interest to apply for a spouse visa in Croatia, when they are entitled to apply for a fiance visa and marry in the UK which they would prefer to do.

I quite agree. Other things being equal, a spouse application would normally be advised, because it's one less step in the process and therefore a saving of several hundred pounds. But in this case it's more convenient to get married in the UK, and the fiance visa is provided for such cases. The requirements to demonstrate the relationship and prove support and accommodation are the same whether applying for a fiance or for a spouse visa.
It's probably a good idea when applying for the fiance visa to show that you have made some enquiries or plans about the date and place of the wedding.

The OP's last post was in June, so I guess it's resolved by now!
