How to block users sending offensive messages

Presumably the reason was because the comments he was posting were nonsensical and I advised others to ignore him.

How do I either block or report this person?

He/She obviously doesn't realise their IP address is easily checked ... and given that the individual concerned sent them as Private messages.. D'oh!

I PMd an Administrator last night, but realise he/she may not have been on. I've now PMd John.

This morning I put the person concerned on "thin ice" and blocked their ability to send PMs. And that was before reading the above.

But after reading the above, that is totally unacceptable behaviour, I shall now ban them.

That is right, Moderators can see the IP address used every time someone posts! And of course it is then easy to detect where that IP address originates.

So to a recently banned person .... very careless, during your short period of membership, using not just what I detect to be your home computer but also, for 11 messages, what I suspect is the computer where you work!
