ILR Post Timelines

Post by hari15 » Wed Aug 05, 2009 12:46 pm

Dear Friends,
Can anybody tell me what is the TimeLine for ILR postal applications now.

I tried to Book appointment in PEO four times with no success

also few people over phone are so rude, they always wanted to find some reason to not to give an appointment , Even if we say we didnt filled the form yet they are not giving appointment. I never experienced this much rudeness from any other customer care in past 5 years in UK

So I finally decided to apply by Post

does anybody know whats the current time lines for it?. In website they mentioned as 6 Months. But I hope in reality it should not be that much. Please throw some light on timelines

Thanks
Hari

hari15,

i have been waiting since 20 weeks ..while i know some who got theirs in 8 weeks, some are still waiting since 25 weeks... its a big gamble applying by post in terms of processing time, peo is a much better option.

I too gave up on the appointment and sent off for postal application.

from what i read, ILR for different application types have different waiting times. ILR based on HMPS Tier 1 appears to be shorter, SET(M) seems to be longer, but cant find anything on WP basis for 5 years (not the new Tier 2, but old WP)

Sent mine off on the 7th July and hoping for a 4-6 week turnaround. well, there is nothing like wishful thinking really is there.

main, did you apply your ILR under which category? as far as I am aware nowadays ILR takes average 4 weeks unless you are applying under 10yrs Long residence!

Thanks friends for immediete response.

I am actually applying in WP + HSMP (5 years) category with dependants

all documents are clear

If it would take atmost 2 Months I wont bother to apply by post, Because even if we book appointment we are getting that only after a month

Thanks

Home Office has even cut our (lawyers, representative same day service) appointments with them for their same day service without appointments in half.

Normally we would be able to bring the client's applications on Tuesday and Friday, now only on Fridays.

They seem very busy. At the same time I am always surprised how many people attend PEOs without proper preparation and are being sent back home or advised to lodge postal applications.
