my wife is due to complete her 3 year qualifying period for uk citizenship in june 2010.
will the proposed changes to the citizenship process affect her if she applies next june?
there seems to be come confusion surrounding this on the internet searches i have made

The latest indication is that the changes will take effect in July 2011, so your wife should be OK.

If she has ILR she will ok even after July 2011 coz those who will get ILR by July 2011 and then they will be able to apply BC untill 2013 basicaly these two years kind of grace or transtional period for ILR holders.
As far as you wife case is concern she is fine nothing to worry. goodluck
