I appealed to HO on the grounds that I met all the requirements for PSW at the time of application contrary to what the decision maker determined. It seems that the fundamental rule is that the burden of proof is on you so provided you demonstrate that you have always met the requirements you will be fine.

For the call in letter, if you have a solicitor they should chase up home office, you can call the HOPOU to find out whether your passport is with the visa endorsers in Leeds if you dont have a solicitor. Call letters seem to be taking long, I would suggest even writing to Leeds and explaining your situation, the long wait, because on something written in they have to take action.

2 and a Half months is waay too long, although I have heard some people waiting for nearly that long, most people seem to get the letter within 6 weeks.

I think that there is a backlog of allowed appeals for PSW, so try really hard to chase them.

If you have any more questions ill be happy to share my experience!
