Post by Mrs Khan » Wed Aug 19, 2009 1:29 am

A person who came under old HSMP to UK & got extension under point based system, in this scenario doesn the immigrant needs to apply for reinstatement as old HSMP or shall he/she wait til the limited leave expires

Reinstatement to old HSMP is probably not possible as the scheme closed on 29 June 2008.

Reinstatement is only required when person did not apply for extension of visa...switched into other category or flew back home.

However if you had your HSMP visa extended then you are not eligible to apply for reinstatement as you are already on HSMP for which you got extension as Tier 1 General.
